Literally “yes, maybe, no” — said to someone talking a lot without actually saying anything, who won’t commit to a direction. Similar to “fish or cut bait,” but specifically about speech.
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. … Your kingdom come. … Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. … Give us this day our daily bread. … Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. … And lead us not into temptation. … But deliver us from the evil one. … Amen

The Song of Amergin
A translation of the Goidelic “Song of Amergin,” attributed to the legendary poet Amergin Glúingel of the Milesians. Vocabulary that Kryptonian had no prior need for — stag, hawk, boar, salmon, dolmen — is simply borrowed rather than invented outright, the way most languages absorb unfamiliar terms from elsewhere.
The English source used here runs shorter than some published versions of the poem, so a few well-known lines may be missing.
I am the ocean breath … I am the great wave … I am the thunder of the ocean … I am the stag of the seven blades … I am the hawk of the cliff … I am the little waters lighted by Rao … I am the most beautiful flower … I am the raging boar … I am the swift salmon … I am the tranquil lake … I am the best art … I am the voices of the Phantom Zone … I am the weapon forged by battle … I am the god who strongly makes desire … Who gives fire for you? … Who has learned the secrets of the uncut dolmen? … Who speaks the times of the moons? … Who has learned where Rao travels?
